Important events from the time of its creation, to the end it its deployment in WWI.
- 29 June 1913 - created from New York Army National Guard as the 15th New York Infantry Regiment
- 8 October 1917 - sent to Camp Wadsworth, South Carolina to receive battle training, racially harassed constantly
- 27 December 1917 - shipped out to France front doing laborious tasks
- 1 March 1918 - Regiment renamed to 369th Infantry Regiment
- 8 April 1918 - Regiment assigned to French Army because rejected by white Americans
- 8 May to 3 July 1918 - fought in the trenches with the French 16th Division
- March to August 1918 - fought in longest tour of any combat division in WWI (6 months)
- 25 September 1918 - fought famous battle pushing rapidly through any German defense, 14 km further than any other flank
- 12 December 1918 - regiment was relieved of French assignment from the French 161st Division
- 28 February 1919 - 369th demobilized and returned back to New York
